I stepped out between 10:00 and 10:30p and could not get any response. I tried unsuccessfully for screech-owls, too. This saw-whet is the first small owl I've heard around the house since last winter/spring. This area is at around 2100 ft. elev. along Skyline Blvd. between Page Mill Rd. and Hwy 9. Mixed douglas fir/live oak woodland.
