Upstream past the next bridge, 5 male Wild Turkeys were displaying to uninterested females. At Ed Levin Park, 9:30 am, one Rufous Hummer was well seen and several heard in the trees around the parking lot for the group picnic area near the ranger residence. The Long-eared Owl was seen at 10 am in the Elm Picnic Area. This owl apparantly has endured several weeks of barbeques, bikes, kids, dogs, and mowing machines, and birders are probably the least of its worries, but it still pays to use discretion when looking for it. Good Luck. Dave Weber Milpitas _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
