One was in the Elm Picnic Area in the flowering eucalyptus by the golf course fence. The other one was seen at the Spring Valley Picnic Area. Both obliged by perching for a time on nearby pines thereby giving excellent views of these exquisite little gems. I could not detect any Allen's Hummingbirds for certain, but I did see two female selasphorous-type hummers among the ecucalyptus at the Spring Valley parking lot. Other birds of note included a BARN SWALLOW at Sandy Wool Lake and fifteen WILD TURKEYS crossing Downing Rd (the entrance road to the Sandy Wool Lake / Elm Picnic Area portions of the park). That's it for now - Ann Verdi _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
