We walked the North Rim trail from the Rustic Lands picnic area to YSI, then back along Penitencia Creek. Highlights: - 3 tom WILD TURKEYs along the trail at the picnic tables. Great photo op! - 1 male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD just a bit further up the trail from where the paved road makes a hairpin turn above YSI. Another Rufous/Allen's wing-buzz heard further east on the trail - A pair of BELTED KINGFISHERs, sometimes perched together along the creek downstream from YSI. One of the birds ranged as far as the Rustic Lands picnic area before heading back upstream. - 1 AMERICAN DIPPER under the bridge by the Log Cabin group picnic area.
