I know that area loons (particularly on the ocean side) often are around a
few weeks in the beautiful alternate plumage before they leave. We'd love to
see some this year.

Can anyone tell me about what time of year that is normally? I know this
being an El Nino year things may differ.

On a side note, can anyone tell me how to subscribe to Monterey Bay Birds?
