Following up on Les Chibana's, Frank Vanslager's and Bob Reiling's encouraging report Peggy Don and I decided to try for the Short-eared Owl at Bxybee Park tonight. We got there about 5:00 PM and started our vigil, about 6:00 PM we saw the Short-eared Owl fly over the hilltop and perch on a post, which gave us really nice views of the bird. While watching the Short-eared Owl, Peggy and I noticed a smaller bird fly in and to our surprise it was a Burrowing Owl. The Burrowing Owl couldn't have been more than 10 feet in front of us... Wishing you all good birding and my best regards, Linda Sullivan _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
