I had a male western tanager visit my cherry plum tree this morning.  Last summer during harvest time, I observed a western tanager on three seperate visits to the trees, so I hope to see this one again.

I have three plum trees, and the fruit ripens at different times for each.  The earliest tree is just ripening now, but the birds have almost stripped the tree clean.  Also observed two juvenile robins get into a tiff over a plum on the ground.
