Although the waterbird pond did not contain these birds, I did find 2 WHITE-FACED IBIS on the tidal mudflats just north of salt pond A18 and south of the Newby Island dump. I assume these are the same birds found by Frank and Bob. This area can be reached by driving around the waterbird pond towards the dump gate and taking the gravel road that winds behind the methane plant.
