Since nothing else of note was there, I left and went to the Alviso Marina to check the impoundment to the north. This area was virtually barren and dried up into a salt pan, containing no birds. Salt pond A12, however, had about 1200 phalaropes on it, of which I estimated 70% to be RED-NECKED and the rest WILSON'S. Later, having seen Bill's email about the Bank Swallow, I headed back to the waterbird pond at CCFS. I met Kris Olson here and we circumnavigated the pond checking peeps on the water and swallows overhead, finding none of what we were looking for.
