Folks:

A bit after noon today, 7/29/2003, I stopped by the BLACK-CHINNED 
HUMMINGBIRD nest along the Guadalupe River below Curtner (across form 2180 
Almaden Road).  Initially the female wasn't there, but she returned in 
about five minutes and appeared to incubate.  On my last visit, on 7/12, 
she was just finishing the nest.  If eggs were laid on the 13th and 14th, 
then they should hatch between the 27th and the 30th.
