Recently it has been closing at noon on weekdays but today it was open, probably because there was some kind of group there. Shorebirds were plenty, but no Ruddy Turnstones. Saw hundreds of Wilson's and a smattering of Red-necked Phalaropes, a few Semi-palm Plovers in the marsh, many Leasts and Westerns, and a few SB Dowitchers. A dozen Gr Yellowlegs were over at the Speckles St. pond. Two juvenile appearing Burrowing Owls were in a place I haven't seen them at before. They were across the channel near the first bridge (coming from the EEC) on the boardwalk. I've always seen them across the channel but closer to the covered picnic area/classroom/pavillion-type structure. A Barn Owl was at the hole of its box. Marsh Wrens and Yellowthroats have gone quiet. T'is all for now. Dave Weber Milpitas. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
