I arrived on a 6' rising tide and had 11 shorebirds on the flats. The only slightly unusual one was an irritated SPOTTED SANDPIPER looking for an unoccupied spot to land. In the Duck Pond at least three SNOWY EGRETS appeared to be incubating on nests. A single bird was on the nest I saw earlier, perhaps a nearly-fledged juvenile.
