The August 2nd class, announced in the Avocet, is full and has a waiting list, so the instructor, distinguished photographer Robert Behrstock, has agreed to a second class. The class will be held at Palo Alto's Foothills Park from 9AM to 1PM, although if conditions warrant, it may go longer so bring a lunch. Participants will be limited to 15. You should wear shoes you don't mind getting wet. Cost is $25 for members, $30 for non-members. Call the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society office at 408-252-3747 to sign up or for more information. Dragonflying is a great thing to do in the middle of the day when the birds have pooped out!
