While birding with Janna Pauser on Wednesday, we
spotted a single Ruddy Duck in the Water District
Pond.

I'm happy to report that a Quail family found it's way
to our back yard on Wednesday evening.  There were
probably 15 young scattered around the lawn.  The
quail have been noticeably absent this summer.  I
feared that the Bobcat, Coyote and our "new"
neighbor's dog had scared them off for good.

No sign of the Harrier again.
