All,

Shortly before 6 PM tonight Frank Vanslager and I saw the PACIFIC LOON in San 
Thomas Aquino Creek (in the water) about half way between the Mission College 
Blvd bridge and the pedestrian bridge just upstream.  The bird's head was on 
it's chest when first seen but later lifted it's head and seemed alert 
(although it did not move much).  (We did not approach closer than the point where we 
first spotted the bird to avoid causing it any undo stress.)  The loon was 
only visible from the west side of the creek.
