We found the heron on the western shore of the salt pond at about 2:20 pm. We had excellent looks through Dean's scope at about 150 feet, and it then flew off. We found it again on the eastern shore at about 2:30 pm. I left, but Dean was still following a counterclockwise route around the pond to enjoy this bird.
