I saw several juvenile Lark Sparrows today at a stock pond across the road
from the Twin Gates parking area.  There were up to five Lark Sparrows
flying back and forth between the edge of the stock pond and an oak tree.  I
didn't get an exact count, but several of the birds were juveniles based on
the light streaking on the chest.

I monitor the heron colony at Grant Ranch for SFBBO, and this summer there
have been four active nests, with 11 young Great Blue Herons about to fledge
(as of 22 June when I last checked).  Today, a Green Heron flew over the
lake.
