The California Trasher heard yesterday was prominently visible and vocal. A single Barn Swallow was capering with the Violet-Green Swallows, and a silent Wrentit was a first for me at that location. The list: American Avocet, Mallard, Northern Pintail, Cinnamon Teal, Northern Shoveler, Gadwall, Eurasian Wigeon, American Wigeon, Bufflehead, Ruddy Duck, Red-tailed Hawk, Virginia Rail, Mourning Dove, Northern Flicker, Violet-green Swallow, Barn Swallow, Scrub Jay, American Crow, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Bushtit, Bewick's Wren, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Wrentit, Northern Mockingbird, California Thrasher, Common Yellowthroat, California Towhee, Fox Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Lincoln's Sparrow, Golden-crowned Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow, Brewer's Blackbird, House Finch.
