A pre-work trip along the west bank of Llagas Creek to the Gilroy sewer
ponds turned up two Eurasian Wigeon feeding with American Wigeon  They were
on the northernmost side of the third pond encountered on the left, in and
out of some weedy growth.  The California Trasher heard yesterday was
prominently visible and vocal.  A single Barn Swallow was capering with the
Violet-Green Swallows, and a silent Wrentit was a first for me at that
location.

Northern Shoveler, Gadwall, Eurasian Wigeon, American Wigeon, Bufflehead,
Ruddy Duck, Red-tailed Hawk, Virginia Rail, Mourning Dove, Northern Flicker,
Violet-green Swallow, Barn Swallow, Scrub Jay, American Crow,
Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Bushtit, Bewick's Wren, Ruby-crowned Kinglet,
Wrentit, Northern Mockingbird, California Thrasher, Common Yellowthroat,
California Towhee, Fox Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Lincoln's Sparrow,
Golden-crowned Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow, Brewer's Blackbird, House
Finch.
