SouthBayBirders,

Along with Dave Weber, Kris Olson, and several other birders we dogged the
female Rusty Blackbird around the parking lot between Albertson's and
Starbucks in the shopping center northwest of the intersection of El Camino
Real and Lawrence Expressway from 12:00 to 12:30 today, 1/14/03. After Kris
saw a flock of blackbirds fly south across El Camino Real from near
Starbucks we did not see the Rusty Blackbird again before we left at 12:45.

A friendly man on a bicycle, who may actually live in this parking lot, was
the only one who seemed to notice the collection of odd people with
binoculars, spotting scopes, and cameras scurrying about amongst the parked
cars. He reported seeing a whole flock of birds fitting the description we
gave him! It was hard to tell, but he just may have been pulling our leg.
