I think it may have only been publicized locally. A Rusty Blackbird was found by Chris & Cyndie Illes on Sunday, 12 January in the parking lot of Big Lots at the northwest corner of Lawrence Expressway & El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. This is a first county record. The bird was still present this afternoon and I managed to take a few pictures of it on the roof of the Albertson's store. They are at: http://fog.ccsf.edu/~jmorlan/gallery.htm Enjoy! >If the blackbird flock is gone, just wait for their return. When we arrived the flock was roosting in a tall pine in the parking lot across El Camino Real to the south. However they quickly flew over to where we were. -- Joseph Morlan, Pacifica, CA 94044 [[email protected]] SF Spring Birding Classes - Feb 4 http://fog.ccsf.org/~jmorlan/ California Bird Records Committee http://www.wfo-cbrc.org/cbrc/ _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
