It was hanging out by the Big Lots and Blockbuster stores in the parking lot at the corner of El Camino Real and Lawrence Expressway. This is a first county record (species number 384!) and was found by Chris Illes yesterday, although it has likely been spending the winter at that location (another Rusty Blackbird has been spending the past several winters at a Costco parking lot in Santa Barbara, so I guess parking lots are good wintering habitat!). I managed to get several pictures of the bird, as it is fairly confiding...but it does move around a bit.
