The following are highlights; Paicines Reservoir had a Bald Eagle and a distant immature Ferruginous Hawk. Phainopeplas were abundant on the drive between Paicines and Panoche Valley. Approximately 50 Mountain Plover were found in a short grass field on the left side of the road past the school house, near a sign that said "Dip". We found no other specialties at Panoche; Lark Sparrows were abundant but zero goldfinch flocks were seen.
