Hello All,

The following birds of interest were seen on Sunday, Jan 12, 2003.

Guadalupe Oak Grove Park:  A female PHAINOPEPLA (presumably the same one 
first discovered by Janna Pauser on Dec 29) was seen in a bare oak in the 
southwest portion of the park near the Villas condominiums.

Calero Reservoir:  The RED-NECKED GREBE was seen on the west side of the 
reservoir half way between the dam and the marker buoys.  This is a tricky 
bird to spot as it dives a lot and then you don't know where or when it will 
pop up again.  I've made several attempts to see this bird since the first of 
the year and finally got lucky.
