I may have asked this before but I can find no definitive answer on the Web. Is this a separate species from Green-winged Teal (anas carolinensis)? My new database for my recording software says yes and http://www.britishbirds.co.uk/may2001.htm strongly suggests this too but I have seen nothing official.
