Good afternoon all...

Took a run out to check on the Great Blue Heron rookery at Vasona. There are 
two GBHEs on nests.  Having confirmed breeding today....we should have babies 
in nest 1 within 2-3 weeks and nest 2 within 3 weeks.  Very exciting. 

The Red-shouldered Hawks were calling from their nesting area and have been 
seen flying around together.  They actually scared the GBHEs off the nest 
last week.

Also, by the boat docks were 25+ Mew Gulls and Ring-billed Gulls.
