My wife Sharon and I started birding on Mothers' Day, 1995, at age 51. Someone asked Pete Dunne if he could have one wish, what would it be. He thought and said that it would be that he could start birding all over again, fresh, having never birded a day before. And I had been looking at it like, "Hurry, Sharon, we've got to make up for all those years we missed." Now whenever I think we started late, I remember what Pete said. It was a couple of years later that we were fortunate to learn about South Bay Birders, and we joined the club, invited by Mike Feighner. Then, later we joined Monterey Bay Birders. What a great time it's been. I just want to say thanks to everybody who contributed (and continues to contribute) all those helpful emails. I have accumulated our best 30 birding stories (out of the area), with some photos, at http://www.24birds.net/f1_birdingtrips/bestbirdstories.html Enjoy for a good time, and my apologies for this not being exactly appropriate to this venue. Great Birding. Springs Coming, Bob and Sharon _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
