All,

I led my Palo Alto Adult School birding class to Grant Park on Saturday
02/22/03 for an absolutely beautiful morning (sunny warm and clear).
Most of the expected species were encountered with few surprises save an
early HOUSE WREN. Other highlights included wonderful looks at
RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER, HERMIT THRUSH, FOX SPARROW, and female PURPLE
FINCH. The full list below includes birds encountered at Grant Lake as
well.
