The BLACK SKIMMER count in Charleston Slough was 14. A silent, gray-headed ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was along Stevens Creek below L' Avenida. At this time of year it could be a wintering bird or an early migrant. COMMON YELLOWTHROATS are now singing, joining the marshland's spring chorus.
