A man was exercising his captured Red tailed hawk. When released the young hawk perched high in a Sycamore tree and was harassed by several crows, another Red tailed Hawk and an Osprey that swooped down on him. Upon the hawks return to the man, he was rewarded with a young quail. I find it hard to believe that a wild hawk can be legally captured for one persons pleasure, and have written the California Fish and Game Dept. The man insisted that the hawk will survive when he is released in the future. We stopped at Calero Reservoir and witnessed the graceful flight of an adult Golden Eagle over the hills. Many American Kestrels were also seen all along McKeen Rd. Janna Pauser _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
