In the 1st channel, or "Moffett Channel", at left of the trail near the entrance, a Common Yellowthroat was hopping in the south-side reeds near the water, just behind the pump house. It was at the same spot about a week ago when I visited there. This was where Green Heron used to be, but I didn't see it in both occasions. Standing at the beginning of Bay Trail, I also saw 2 Commom Moorhen at left in the 1st channel at left and 2 more moorhen at right in the 2nd channel. When walking along the 3rd channel, before the gate on the levee separating East and West Ponds, 4 moorhen were on the left levee, later swam across to rght levee and hid inside the reed.
