My first message may not have gone out. I observed the beautiful female Phainopepla about 10:30 this morning in the southwest corner of Gaudalupe Oak Grove Park. All her beautiful markings, crest and red eye were clearly visible. I also spotted a pair of Blue Birds checking out a nest box in a tree next to the south fence.
