It started misting early while I was at Los Gatos Creek Park, continued through Almaden Lake Park and was being driven on a stiff breeze at Calero Reservoir. I then returned to Los Gatos Creek Park to do a more thorough check [of all of the ponds]. Best birds seen were swallows; one NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED and two Tachycineta Swallows that never came close enough for me to positively identify [best look indicated Tree Swallow]. The usual birds of note were five HOODED MERGANSERS, at least three GREEN HERON, WILSON'S SNIPE [in flight], and an adult male OSPREY. A pair of LESSER SCAUP were at Almaden Lake Park.
