The EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL was also in the marsh, with dozens of its brethren. An adult PEREGRINE FALCON of the race anatum was perched on the power tower overlooking the marsh. Scoping over salt pond A2W, I looked through hundreds of scaup for any sign of a Tufted Duck, but without any luck. A single pair of REDHEADS was all I could find among the AMERICAN WIGEON. On Sunday, 21 Dec 03, I headed for the Palo Alto Baylands and the high tide that I hoped would be augmented with rainwater runoff. Staking out a spot at the "corner" rewarded me with a single "flyin" BLACK RAIL. A number of CLAPPER RAILS were also visible from the boardwalk. At one point 6 BROWN PELICANS flew overhead. A sparrow watch out by the outflow channel was unproductive for Sharp-tailed. Mike Mammoser _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
