Best birds were a couple TRI-COLORED BLACKBIRDS [with a mixed flock of RED-WINGED and BREWER'S BLACKBIRDS at a corral on the north side of Sierra Rd about a half mile from the summit], six LARK SPARROWS [at the corral on the south side of the Sierra Rd near the summit], ROCK WREN and an adult GOLDEN EAGLE [further east on Sierra Rd], a juvenile COOPER'S HAWK [Felter Rd], a juvenile Golden Eagle [on Felter Rd near Marsh Rd], and RING-NECKED DUCKS [with GADWALL, AMERICAN WIGEON and CANADA GEESE in the pond north of the junction of Felter and Marsh Rds]. A SAY'S PHOEBE was on the fence north of Sandy Wool Lake in Ed Levin Park. The basic plumaged Ruff seen recently [with greenish-gray legs] was in New Chicago Marsh just past the first open water north of the EEC entrance road and east of the railroad tracks. Several THAYER'S GULLS [at least two adults] were on the first island on Salt Pond A16 [pond north of the center-EEC] and a PEREGRINE FALCON was spotted flying over New Chicago Marsh. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
