Folks:

I did some poking around at the Sunnyvale WPCP ponds this morning, 
12/17/2003, looking for the Common Loon seen two days ago on A3W, but no 
luck.  I counted 14 RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS on A3W and in my scans of the 
west pond ducks I could only pull out a single male EURASIAN WIGEON and six 
REDHEADS.

On Stevens Creek, just below the rusty footbridge at the tidal marsh, the 
male EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL was very cooperative.  Further downstream, 
a male BLUE-WINGED TEAL was sleeping in with the Green-wings.
