On Sunday, 7 Dec 03, Uvas Reservoir had 83 COMMON MERGANSERS and 10 WOOD DUCKS, while Chesbro Reservoir had 27 mergansers and a single Wood Duck. An OSPREY was perched along the edge of the northern-most pond at Ogier Ponds, while an adult RED-SHOULDERED HAWK perched along the entrance road and an adult SHARP-SHINNED HAWK soared overhead. Circling over the dump east of hwy 101 were about 205 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS. Another OSPREY, a female, was perched on a telephone pole in the power substation across from Parkway Lakes.
