Bittern I saw this morning. We watched it for some time striking different poses. Ann Verdi was there so we showed the bird to her. As we left an Osprey flew right over our heads holding a fish. I decided to stay when more birders showed up who wanted to see the Bittern. We found it again and watched it for some time. It was in the same location I stated in an earlier posting. Just before we left Joan and Frank Brauch spotted a falcon in a bare tree near the damn eating its prey. We couldn't decided what it was so we walked right up to the tree and saw that it was a juvenile Peregrine Falcon, which was banded. We watched it for 20 minutes as it picked apart its prey. A great day at the water district. Janna Pauser _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
