Just beyond the first pond on the right, toward the northeast, John located another Hudsonian Godwit. The bird was near a dark post, the middle third of which was white, and the bird was sleeping. It appeared to be identical to the first bird, which we could see by looking back across the tracks. I left to alert the other birders at State and Spreckles: John may have additional comments of the description of the second bird. A Red Knot was near the first bird, and two Pectoral Sandpipers were still in the first pond along the tracks. No sign of the Stilt Sandpiper.
