I learned of a second bird found by Jon Luther present out in the marsh east of the railroad tracks and went out there to see it. It was at some distance, but eventually was flushed with many other birds by a NORTHERN HARRIER and flew over to the pond east of State and Spreckles, where it joined the other godwit. Both birds remained here for the rest of my visit. At one point, after much sleeping in obscurity by these birds, both got up into the air and circled overhead for a minute, giving excellent flight views. I saw one of the PECTORAL SANDPIPERS (of the 2 reported) east of the tracks, while over there looking at the godwit. The STILT SANDPIPER was also quite cooperative at times near State and Spreckles. I had at least 3 LESSER YELLOWLEGS in with many more GREATERS. Mike Mammoser _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
