I ran into Dean Manley and we watched a VIRGINIA RAIL under the "willow" trees near the radar station. The swallows on the wires included 1 TREE SWALLOW. Al Eisner was coming out as we headed in and had nothing to report. We ended up drawing the same conclusion, finding nothing unusual. Back at the car I talked with Mike Rogers, who was getting ready to bike the levees. He told me of migrant passerines showing up, so I headed for CCFS. There I found 1 WILLOW FLYCATCHER in the new riparian area and 8-10 "WESTERN" FLYCATCHERS, 2 YELLOW WARBLERS, and an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER in the eucalyptus tree.
