I got an in-flight-only look at the RUFF as it left the vicinity of the first pond and disappeared into the pickleweed much further out along the tracks, never to be seen again. On the near edge of the last big pond on the left before the junction, we saw one SNOWY PLOVER, but none on the impoundment. On the way back from the junction, an adult nonbreeding WHITE-FACED IBIS landed near the A16 levee, eventually ending up still in the western part of the marsh but midway between the railroad spur and the A16 levee. There was a PEREGRINE FALCON on one of the towers on the EEC entrance road. Roland Kenner _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
