The San Tomas Aquino percolation pond bird was seen once in early August by the Caldwells, but not since. This may well be the same bird as noted in Monterey Bay by Steve Rovell. It does seem to be moving around. By the way, if you see it in flight, it has a striking amount of white both under and above the wings and should be immediately noticeable.
