I had no time to check the hillside. The Elms area didn't have many birds, but a couple were year-birds for me: Western Wood-Pewee and Western Tanager (both seen along the fenceline). A Pacific-slope Flycatcher was still present and singing - at least I'm assuming it's the same bird I've had there for weeks; I hadn't thought this was a breeding spot, but he must at least thihk it is. Also, I heard (presumably) nestlings from a Chickadee nest box. On a brief stop at the Spring Valley area, I heard one more each of the above two Flycatchers; and saw an Ash-throated Flycatcher (in a pine).
