Hello,

Showing some political type folks around San Felipe Lake area this afternoon
presented very limited opportunity for birding.  Nevertheless: one Cassin's
Kingbird; typically good numbers of Loggerhead Shrike; nine Long-billed
Curlew remain, feeding among the cattle; immature Golden Eagle; a dozen
American White Pelican.  Returning to the office, the SCVWD staff was mowing
along the Llagas Creek levy from Bloomfield to the sewer.  Glad y'all got
your visits in before the motorized parade began.  Here's hoping that it
doesn't displace the arriving birds.  I haven't birded the creek in about 10
days and had not yet heard Chat chattering there. Chat was present last year
in the first willow clump downstream (other side of Bloomfield) just a few
feet from the road.
