That is, after the Mt. Eden rd. intersection, this was the 3rd time the creek crossed the road. Now even if I counted the bridges wrong, what's more telling though is that the nest that I reported on can only be seen from the downstream side. So it sounds like there may be two nests - under the 3rd and 4th bridges ?! Hi Eric,George Schuttinger and I went Tuesday afternoon to find the American Dipper, following the directions from Vivek Tiwari's posting of 4/6/03. He said he went straight to the 3rd bridge on Stevens Canyon Rd. past Mr. Eden Road. Actually we found it was the 4th bridge or the 4th time the stream crosses under the road. Under the bridge, visible only from the downstream side was a large globular nest of moss, etc. on the girders. We actually saw the Dipper from the upstream side and it was quite thrilling, the end of a two year search for George.
