We also had a single basic-plumaged EARED GREBE at Grant Lake, a singing RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROW at about mile 14 along Mt Hamilton Road, another pair of WOOD DUCKS and a CANADA GOOSE at a small stock pond just into breeding bird atlas block 1530, and another adult male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD along Mt Hamilton Road at about mile 6.5, about 0.5 mile above Quimby Road. Numbers of some lingering and newly arriving species included: PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER - 6 HOUSE WREN - 9 WARBLING VIREO - 5 BULLOCK'S ORIOLE - 7 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET - 7 (most singing) YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER (MYR and AUD) - 10 LINCOLN'S SPARROW - 2 The cold weather seemed to put a damper on migration this weekend :( Mike Rogers _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
