We were in Half Moon Bay today (Sunday) at the beach north end of the Harbor area near the Air Force installation. There was a Black Oystercatcher on the beach area (never seen them on anything but rocks before) and it had a blue color band on it's left leg. Looked like a metal band on the right leg too but I couldn't be sure. Does anyone know about any Oystercatcher banding programs? I've never heard of any and can't imagine how you'd catch and band them. I'd love to hear more about the program if anyone knows (off line is fine, not necessarily an appropriate topic for this list). -Chris _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
