    Last Wednesday, the day Mike Rogers found the White-Throated Sparrow at
the Palo Alto Baylands, I made only a cursory check of that spot, spending
my limited time instead at Embarcadero Way.  All I had there was a Hermit
Thrush and 2 Orange-Crowned Warblers, plus probable Townsend'w Warbler heard.
I tried the Baylands at Friday lunchtime, but as Mike Mammoser has reported,
the Sparrow didn't show.
    But I thought it was worth another try, and today I did see the
White-Throated Sparrow (a "white-stripe" adult) on the lawn by the Ranger
Station at about 11:50.  There were a lot of Yellow-Rumped Warblers around,
including one or more Myrtle.
