While their we had the pleasure of a visit from a Pileated Woodpecker. On two occasions. it very noisily flew through the campgrounds and landed in a Laurel tree about 20 yards from our campsite and proceeded to feast on the fruit of the tree for about ten minutes or so. WOW!. Linda's sharp eye's also spotted a Varied Thrush and a Brown Creeper highlighting the list of birds observed in the campsite. Others included, Common Raven, Stellar's Jay, Acorn Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Chestnut- backed Chickadee, and Dark-eyed Junco. Karl -- American Kestrel - Falcon Sparverius - The tiny but mighty falcon. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
