Hello.

While walking at Sunnyvale Baylands Park this morning, my husband and I
watched two Phoebes have a brief dogfight over the fence between the trail
and the walkway.  One was a Black Phoebe and one was a Say's Phoebe.  They
flew in tight S shaped curves one after the other.  I suppose this was a
territorial dispute.  There were actually two skirmishes, each lasting only
seconds, before both birds flew off in opposite directions.  The Say's
Phoebe landed on the walkway railing.  When we got to the observation
platform there was a Black Phoebe there, perhaps the same one.
